Centrifugal Sifter

On a centrifugal sifter, the bulk material is fed in a controlled flow into the cylindrical basket containing the sieve hose. Fast rotating blades push the product against the sieve and transport the oversize particles in an axial movement towards the oversize outlet. The fine particles pass through the sieve and are forwarded to the next process step. Centrifugal sifters are characterised by high throughput and compact design. A typical through put can vary between some 100 kg/hour and 60 tonnes/hour using an 800 micron mesh.

Gericke have been manufacturing centrifugal sifters for more than 50 years. They are available in different ATEX categories. Sifters are used at the reception point of raw materials, e.g. after Big Bag emptying stations, sack tipping units or above filling and conditioning machines.
Very low headroom is required by the Inline sifter, which can be placed anywhere in the pneumatic conveying line.

Usually Nylon sieves are used. They are robust and are kept clean by the natural flexing of the nylon.

Gericke offers sieve hoses for different makes of centrifugal sifter.
