Qlar and tripleS combine expertise in Steel Production

Process improvements in steel production: this is the goal Qlar and tripleS have set themselves.

Through their collaboration in the field of weighing and dosing systems, they are focusing on increasing transparency in the steel production process and ensuring optimal process control. In doing so, both companies are addressing a key challenge faced by many steel producers: cost optimisation through increased efficiency.

Qlar and tripleS are joining forces from now on. Through this partnership, they aim to create synergies and tap into new business areas. As an expert in dosing and weighing technology, Qlar possesses specialized application knowledge regarding the weighing requirements in steel production and can draw on 140 years of experience. In addition, Qlar brings a global sales network to the table. tripleS contributes engineering expertise in steel mill processes and a strong network spanning the entire process chain. “A particular advantage of our new partner lies in its close ties to key decision-makers,” says Martin Brauer, Head of Sales Minerals & Metals at Qlar Europe. “Customers value the high level of consulting expertise and flexibility. We’re building on that.”

Both companies focus on the liquid phase of steel in steel production. Their shared focus is on end customers in the steel manufacturing process, as well as on high-quality engineering solutions for local challenges and specific individual cases. In doing so, Qlar and tripleS rely on holistic solutions rather than individual components. “The geographical proximity of our locations and our long-standing collaboration with customers in the steel industry create a solid foundation for this partnership. Together, we complement existing structures in the region and are strategically expanding our network,” says Markus Abel, Managing Director at tripleS GmbH & Co. KG. Both companies aim to expand within the steel industry and see the growing demand for green steel as a particular opportunity to do so.

Technical Innovation as a Foundation for Growth

Both Qlar and tripleS view technical innovation as a key foundation for future growth. The transition to Green Steel and the increasing pressure from CBAM requirements are driving significant technical and economic momentum in Europe and the MENA region. The partners are convinced that this development offers substantial market potential and will enable them to further strengthen their competitive position.
