End 2008, Rotex Europe has signed with Tenova Takraf Italy a contract for two machines MEGATEX XD™. The new urea plant these two machines are dedicated to will be the largest single train ammonia-urea complex in the world.
The end user, a Pakistan fertilizer company will benefit from the extraordinary feed rate of 140t/h of these machines, especially tailored for demanding screening requirements of high-volume applications.
These two machines replace the feed rate of four to six Rotex screeners , without replacing their well known screening quality .
The ability to screen at high capacities of the MEGATEX XD™ screeners is achieved through a special multi-deck design. The design provides a large screen cloth area in a compact footprint, allowing installation in a confined area.

The MEGATEX XD™ screeners achieve high separation efficiency through a unique elliptical-linear motion. Incoming urea is distributed equally to each screen deck level and then uniformly spread across each screen surface. The elongated stroke of the machine also provides effective blinding control allowing near-horizontal screen deck angles. This guarantees sharp separations since the screen cloth openings used can be very near to the actual specified mesh or micron opening. The screen apertures for these machines are designed to remove overs and fines at 1mm.The result is an unbeatable combination of high capacity and high separation efficiency.
