Greif-Velox Assembly Hall
Greif-Velox Assembly Hall

Plenty of space for innovation at Greif-Velox

Ladders to success and plenty of freedom for new customer projects at Greif-Velox

Following the punctual delivery of all customer systems last year, the tidy assembly hall in Lübeck once again offers sufficient space for upcoming projects. Depending on the respective equipment, up to 5 customer systems can be assembled here at the same time and prepared for customer acceptance (FAT).

Company information

Greif-Velox Maschinenfabrik GmbH
Greif-Velox Maschinenfabrik GmbH
GREIF-VELOX is one of the most tradition-rich companies in the field of industrial bagging, filling and palletising technology. Its roots date back to the year 1100, when monks founded the Greifenmühle mill in Klützow, Pomerania – an origin from which centuries of practical expertise in handling bulk materials and efficient packaging processes have developed. Building on this experience, Ernst Mahlkuch, whose family had owned the Greifenmühle since 1734, founded GREIF-WERKE in 1938. Since then, the company has been developing and implementing high-performance bagging machines and filling systems for industrial applications. After 1945, GREIF-VELOX emerged from this foundation in Lübeck, Germany – today with more than 150 experts and a clear focus on innovative, efficient and reliable packaging solutions. GREIF-VELOX stands for customised system concepts that are precisely tailored to the product, process and production environment. These individual solutions not only increase production quality and system performance, but also create measurable competitive advantages. On request, GREIF-VELOX supplies complete full-line systems from a single source, including bagging, filling, conveying technology, robotic palletising and load securing. In addition to its customised Custom Line solutions, GREIF-VELOX offers the Essential Line: standardised, field-proven machine concepts for typical applications in bulk solids and liquid filling. The Essential Line reduces engineering effort, shortens delivery times and provides an economical entry point into proven GREIF-VELOX technology – without compromising on quality, reliability or industrial practicality.

Ultra-light powders perfectly packed with VeloVac from Greif-Velox
Messy and difficult to handle – but crucial for industry: Ultra-light powders. The solution is the vacuum pump packer from Greif-Velox. Ultra-light powders like carbon black, polyethylene fibres, color pigments and silica are a necessity for the production of manufactured goods such as lithium-ion batteries and rotor blades of wind turbines that sustainably advance future industries such as e-mobility and renewable energies. But they’re a huge pain for manufacturers – they’re messy, a potential workplace hazard and too expensive to waste. The market-leading and innovative VeloVac vacuum packers from Greif-Velox ensure dust-free, clean and safe bagging of these difficult-to-handle products. Ultra-light Powders: small size, big outcome They have particle sizes of less than 200 microns and a bulk density of less than 350 grams per liter, but they represent a major advance in the industry: ultralight powders. * Carbon Black in its various forms is an essential component of, for example, car tires, anti-corrosion coatings and lithium-ion batteries, making it a key driver of global progress in…

Safe and clean bagging of ultra-light powders in FIBCs
The VeloVac-XL vacuum system from Greif-Velox offers virtually dust-free and compact bagging of ultra-light powders thanks to an innovative technology: a completely closed vacuum chamber. Until now, ultra-light powders such as carbon black or pyrogenic silica were particularly difficult to bag safely and compactly in FIBCs (”BigBags”) due to their nature. Maschinenfabrik Greif-Velox now offers a unique solution with the vacuum technology of the VeloVac XL: It ensures clean, fast and compact bagging, which minimises logistics and transport costs as well as product loss and increases work safety. At the same time, the use of the larger containers ensures economic and ecological advantages. Innovative vacuum technology The VeloVac-XL vacuum system from Greif-Velox offers virtually dust-free and compact bagging of ultra-light powders thanks to an innovative technology: The powders with particle sizes of less than 200 micrometres and a bulk density of 10 to 450 grams per litre are filled in a completely closed vacuum chamber. In contrast to pump packer systems, an atmospheric vacuum is generated in this chamber, which sucks the product directly into…
