Safe and efficient dust suppression during the conveying of grain

Effective dust suppression systems by ScrapeTec enhance safety and efficiency in grain transportation.

The new ScrapeTec dust suppression systems have been successfully installed at an Australian grain storage and ship loading facility. The new systems reduce dust and spillage significantly, improving working conditions and reducing maintenance costs.

Contact-free

The systems - comprising FRAS AirScrape and FRAS TailScrape technologies - maintain a contact-free position over the conveyor belt, reducing wear and extending the service life of the belt. They´ve also added a tail Dustbox with Stainless Steel filter cloth and three boxes after the transfer point, which have helped in reducing air pressure and confining dust inside the box. The reduction of dust and spillage mitigates explosion risks and enhances safety.

Studies indicate minimal wear even after five years of continuous use in harsh conditions, reducing operational costs significantly. Effective seal by creating underpressure

The AirScrape system uses inward-facing hardened steel diagonal blades to create negative pressure, drawing dust and particles back into the product flow, while the TailScrape system enhances the performance of the AirScrape, effectively sealing transfer points to further reduce dust and spillage.

Even before the trade fair, the topic of saving electricity through dust protection solutions from ScrapeTec was already a subject of discussion.
