Bulkflow Technologies on Powtech
Bulkflow Technologies Inc. will present an innovative HT cooler for high temperature applications, designed for product temperatures up to 1000°C. The concept uses horizontal, water cooled tubes in a “serpentine” configuration, which prevents high local stresses and hot spots. The tube walls are typically refractory lined. As in the well-proven plate design heat exchangers from Bulkflow Technologies Inc, the product flows in mass flow, by gravity through the tube bundle. Applications for this high temperature cooler are catalysts, minerals such as alumina, ash and char from boilers and furnaces.
Bulkflow will also present a paper during the BULKDAYS (see "Calendar`), a seminar held during Powtech and organized by the Bulk Academy. This paper covers the importance of cooling for improved storage, handling and quality of powders and granules with the indirect cooling technology of the Bulkflow Plate Heat Exchanger.
