Rhewum waf screening machines
For dust-free sieving of large volumes of fine to very fine powders.
When sieving or classifying very fine material two problems often occure:
- Powder that gets stuck in the meshes of the screen cloth, reducing the capacity of the screen.
- A lot of dust is blown into the production area
Rhewum has solved both these problems with the WAF powder sieve.
In the WAF powder screens, RHEWUM combines two movements:
1.The screen cloth is directly exitated from below by knocker bars (like in the Rhewum wa machines). So the screen goes up en down.
2.At the same time, two motors, rotating in the opposite direction, ensure a linear movement of the screen (as is the case with a vibrating feeder).
The linear movement ensures the transport of the powder over the sloping screen cloth. In the meantime, since the screen cloth is frequently struck from below, the powder particles constantly jump up, and the particles that have settled in the screen holes are loosened. As a result of this direct exitation of the screen, the screen cloth remains free during the entire process, and large volumes of product can be processed without interruption.
Because of this combination of drive and excitation, material that is difficult to sieve, and normally cannot be sieved on a linear moving screen, can still be classified in large quantities. Conclusion : When classifying very fine particles, the Rhewum waf sieves achieve significantly better results than conventional linear vibrating screens.
The WAF screeners are available with a maximum of 2 screen decks. They are tailor-made for the customer and their slope can be fully adjusted to the material to be processed.
Because the sieving of fine powders is often accompanied by a lot of dust, the Rhewum waf machines are often designed and produced with a dust-tight housing. If necessary an extra dust extraction system can be connected to the machine.
This allows the WAF screeners to meet the strictest FDA standards and can they be used in an ATEX zone.
