SMC`s new long life mechanical valve has a bright future

Upgraded mechanical valves

SMC, the world’s leading provider of pneumatics, has released an upgraded long life 2/3 port mechanical valve that is set to stand out in the marketplace.

The VM 100/200 Series has been redesigned with simplicity in mind as part of SMC’s ongoing investment in research and development to refine and improve product performance and functionality. It now has a brighter appearance and can withstand rigorous operating conditions as well as deliver cost savings thanks to its lightweight construction.

Also, compact in design, the VM 100/200 only needs a small amount of space for mounting. It offers flexibility thanks to four mounting variations (bottom, bracket, side and panel), two piping options (side and bottom) and several types of actuators, making the series suitable for a wide range of applications including vacuum.

The VM 100/200’s versatility also shines through as its actuators can be easily interchanged and/or replaced. Colourful push button and twist selector options allow for simple visual control and the ability to differentiate the functionality of the pneumatic lines.

A small, visual indicator on the VM100 bottom ported model also makes maintenance checks easier to perform. With all these features, the VM 100/200 is ideal for pneumatic control panels and confirming the position of a workpiece using a pneumatic signal.

Recognised as a global technology leader and recently voted for the third consecutive year as one of the world’s most innovative by leading business magazine, Forbes, SMC has a diverse customer base covering all automation industries.
