SMC switches on to more efficient and larger flow metering
In response to increasing customer demand for more efficient and larger flow metering, SMC, the world’s leading pneumatics manufacturer, has launched a series of two-colour display digital flow switches.
The new PFMB Series models, available in three sizes, are not only capable of measuring wider and higher ranges of flow through a single unit but are more compact than previous SMC digital flow switches, offering faster response times of up to 0.05 seconds and an expanded range of 100:1.
Developed by SMC’s expert technical team, the PFMB Series offers a number of key benefits including a compact and space saving design and a by-pass structure that reduces the levels of moist air and foreign matter reaching the sensor, improving the PFMB’s lifespan. The introduction of a reverse display mode also makes it easier to read and operate the switch.
The PFMB7201 model offers an integrated flow adjustment valve which provides a smooth transition to match the needle rotations, reducing piping installation work and space requirements.
SMC’s new PFMB digital flow switches can be used across a wide range of industries and applications where flow consumption control and energy savings are critical. It is particularly suitable for spray painting applications and for use in the food and semiconductor industries.
