New features for SMC`s upgraded rotary actuator
SMC, the world’s leading pneumatics provider, has unveiled an upgraded version of its CRB2 Series vane type rotary actuator.
In addition to the double shaft, the updated CRB2-Z features a single shaft as standard and provides easier piping due to the parallel location of the ports, which can be side or axial ported, demonstrating SMC’s commitment to improve the performance and functionality of its products.
Available with four rotating angles ranging from 90° to 270°, the CRB2-Z is ideal for applications within tight spaces as well as robotics and material handling. Heavier loads are also catered for thanks to the double vane type which has twice the torque capacity of the single vane option but with the same dimensions.
Offering flexibility, the CRB2-Z has the optional use of an auto switch unit – in which the auto switches can be secured in any position in the circumferential direction – and / or an angle adjustor unit, both of which can be directly mounted onto the actuator’s body.
