SMC launches new VXD and VX3
Anyone who currently uses direct or pilot operated solenoid valves to control the flow of fluids can now sit back and enjoy a long, quiet and energy saving product life thanks to SMC´s, latest 2 and 3 Port Solenoid Valves – Series VXD and Series VX3. With almost 20 years of solenoid valve manufacturing experience and an impressive portfolio of existing solenoid valve products, SMC can justifiably claim to be one of the leading authorities on 2 and 3 Port Valve technology. However when their Research and Development teams were asked to look for further ways to improve their existing VX products the results have been outstanding.
By building on the best features of SMC´s original Pilot Operated 2 Port Solenoid Valve - Series VXD (for use with water, oil and air), three improved models have now been launched - VXD21, 22 and 23. Performance benefits include, reduced power consumption by up to 25% due its improved magnetic coil construction, quieter and longer life expectancy following the introduction of a redesigned stopper assembly and increased corrosion resistance due to the use of a higher grade magnetic stainless steel for internal components. With quick coil replacement and a threaded nut construction, easy maintenance is assured.
Available in two operating types - N.C. and N.O., plus seven orifice sizes -from 10 up to 50 mm and in eight thread and flange sizes, these new valves can be specified with many different types of body and seal materials and with numerous electrical inputs and voltage options.
Whilst the Direct Operated 3 Port Solenoid Valve - Series VX3 (for use with water, oil, steam and air), benefit from the same shared features as the new 2 port valves, further improvements include a manifold type and model with a specialised construction for use with vacuum. Currently available in three operation types - N.C., N.O. and COM. - and with three size options, the VX31, 32 and 33 can be specified with orifice sizes of 1.5, 2.2, 3 and 4 mm and in three thread size options.
