VDL TIM Hapert opens new building
Following a period of renovations lasting nearly two years, the new VDL TIM Hapert building will be opened officially on Friday 5 September. An open day will be held the following day, on Saturday 6 September.
During the past several years, VDL TIM Hapert has undergone extensive growth. The company has plenty of work, but the production area could no longer accommodate the need for new machines. Previously, the warehouse was at a different location, which was not ideal from a logistical standpoint. The offices were also 20 years old and no longer made the desired impression.
VDL began the renovations in November 2006. Since then, a neighbouring building was purchased (previously Mibra) and converted to a new 6,500 m2 warehouse. The separate production hall that was located behind the production area at VDL TIM Hapert has also been renovated and connected to the existing production hall. In total, an area of approximately 3,500 m2. The old offices have been stripped out, and that area has been made into production space (500 m2). And, finally, new offices have been built. In total, VDL TIM Hapert now occupies a total floor space of close to 20,000 m2.
VDL TIM Hapert has been part of the VDL Groep since 1979. The company is specialised in the mechanical processing of cast and forged work and welded assemblies.
