Palletizers ready for the future

Inductive Positioning System F110 allows more flexibility

The inductive Positioning System F110 makes modern palletizers more flexible and better prepared for the future.

Thanks to the contact-free operation of the Positioning System F110, readjusting the palletizers to new packages now only takes a fraction of the time needed before. Due to the monitoring of the whole traverse path, every packaging format or stack pattern can be adjusted and new formats can be easily accommodated in the future. Palletizers constantly have to adapt to new kinds of package forms, sizes and patterns, with ever-higher processing speeds. Increasingly, pallets have to cope with different package layers, requiring high machine flexibility.

When changing to a new packaging format, the sidesliders on a palletizer have to be readjusted to ensure the layers are centered correctly on the pallet. Previously, the hydraulic cylinders of the side-sliders had to be adjusted with the help of magnetic cylinder sensors and often only a limited number of positions were possible.

Today, however, the inductive Positioning System F110 offers constant position feedback over the whole traverse path.
