Screening a necessity within waste management

Rotex at Recycling & Waste Management in Birmingham

Once the recycling and waste-handling boom started, the applications offered ROTEX the opportunities to adapt the equipment with little effort. Vibratory feeders whether of a fixed or variable speed were complimented by vibratory conveyors, all capable of handling large, volumetric and where necessary heavy products. In addition to the ability to feed and convey products, the ROTEX range of Direct Drive and gyratory motion screeners give the company a series of machines that can separate dry product by size, either simplistically or very accurately. In addition special screen decks have been developed with certain clients to enable specific products to be handled that would normally be extremely difficult to screen.
Typical industries where success has been gained include rubber, glass, municipal waste, plastic, ferrous and non-ferrous.
Rubber has been a strong success story for ROTEX and will continue to grow as the landfill costs become prohibitive for many companies.
Glass seems to be an ideal screening product as the larger industries and general recycling companies specialise in recovering glass properties for new uses. Sandblasting is becoming more difficult to justify due to the silica content and legislation regarding the percentage allowable in local water treatment systems. As such glass has become a new acceptable product.

Come visit us at RWM, on 12-14 Sept, on the stand N. 961.
