GREIF-VELOX is one of the oldest companies in the world with 1,000 years of company history: In the year 1,100, monks founded the Greifenmühle in Klützow in Pomerania, laying the foundations for many centuries of practical experience in efficient bagging, filling and palletizing. Ernst Mahlkuch, whose family had owned the Greifenmühle since 1734, used this experience to found GREIF-WERKE in 1938, which has been designing and producing innovative bagging machines and filling systems ever since. After the Second World War, Ernst Mahlkuch brought the company with more than 1,000 years of history to the Hanseatic city, where it has been growing continuously and driving innovation ever since. Today, Greif-Velox is a hidden champion from the region and world market leader in the bagging of ultra-light powders using vacuum technology and full-line systems. In addition to bulk solids plants, GREIF-VELOX also supplies full-line systems for liquid filling. Two semi-automatic R-DOS filling lines with a filling capacity of up to 50 drums per hour were accepted by Symrise at GREIF-VELOX in Lübeck. Drums on pallets and IBCs can be filled flexibly. Symrise will use the system to fill chemical products from the “Aroma Molecules” division at its plant in Granada (Spain) in future. The bottled flavors provide the basis for giving a variety of products such as shampoos, detergents, candles, etc. the right smell.
