Introducing a new name in Industrial Process Solutions
Introducing a new name in Industrial Process Solutions
IPCO is a new name in Industrial Process solutions but a business partner with whom many in the sulphur industry will already be familiar. Previously operating as Sandvik Process Systems, we are now an independent company within the Wallenberg group, a business with approx. 600 000 employees and in excess of €140 billion in total sales of holdings. We continue to develop customized solutions for the sulphur industry, with the same people, skills and process systems – including our world-renowned Rotoform® pastillation process – but under a new name and brand.

Sandvik has signed an agreement to divest its Process System
Sandvik has signed an agreement to divest Sandvik Process Systems to FAM AB, owned by the three largest Wallenberg foundations, at a price of 5.0 billion SEK. Sandvik Process Systems delivers advanced industrial process solutions based on high-end steel belts, steel belt based equipment and process solutions within adjacent technologies. In 2016 the operations, with approximately 600 employees, had reported revenues of 1.7 billion SEK representing 2% of Sandvik’s total revenues and with a strong operating margin. “This is an important step in focusing Sandvik on its core businesses. The divestment creates additional capacity for growth and expansion of the core business of Sandvik”, says Björn Rosengren, President and CEO of Sandvik. “We look forward to further develop, together with management and the employees, the Process Systems business as an independent company with strong focus on profitable growth”, says Lars Wedenborn, CEO FAM. Divestment of Sandvik Process Systems
Sandvik Process Systems has been producing steel belts for all kinds of process industries since 1901. Following the decision bij our parent company Sandvik AB to concentrate its efforts on mining, machining and special steel, the Process Systems side of the business will be divested from Sandvik. This will have no impact on our ability to support customers through market leading products and world class service, either now or in the future. Sandvik Process Systems has operated as a business in its own right since 1969, with its own respresentation the world over, and will continue to work to the same high standards even though our overall ownership - and company name - may change. Sandvik Process Systems is the largest steel belt supplier in the world today, and universally recognized as the market leader. Steel belts have always been, and remain, our core business and we are committed to increasing the support we provide to our customers by working together…

Rubber-tire upcycling process Sandvik TPS Composite Solutions
Rubber-tire upcycling process
Sandvik TPS Composite Solutions • Just in Europe approximately 3 million tons of waste rubber become available, mainly in form of used tires. • The used tires are currently not reused in an adequate manner, a large portion is incinerated for cement production, deposited on landfills or simply burned for energy production. • By adding a very pure finely grained rubber powder the physical properties of specific plastics are positively influenced and can be used to substitute products with critical resources. • Contrary to vulcanised rubber, the resulting materials are fully recyclable. This eliminates the problem of waste handling for the customers. General description: The process is based on mixing of highly pure rubber powder (<0,4 mm) with conventional plastics. The rubber powder is produced out of used tires by means of a multi-stage process. The tires are shredded into pieces the size of a hand. These are further reduced in size in a specialised mechanical process and freed…
