Russian Agriculture Offers New Opportunities for the Bulk Solids and Powder Industry Because of the problematic situation in the Ukraine, the European Union and the US, Canada, Australia and other countries have imposed sanction upon Russia. In turn, Russia has responded with counter-sanctions. Even though it is not possible yet to provide a full statement on the macroeconomic impact of the sanctions, many experts share the opinion that they will not lead to a dramatic worsening of the economic relation between Russia and the European Union in the long run. During the conference in Berlin on the 27th February 2015, Dr. Rainer Seele, president of the German-Russian Foreign Chamber of Commerce and CEO of the biggest German oil and gas company Wintershall emphasized the importance of the economic partnership especially in times of a crisis. He also pointed out that German companies have not left Russia. At the moment, 6000 companies with German involvement are active in Russia.
