Dispersion makes all the difference Parsum at Powtech 19
Dispersion makes all the difference
Parsum at Powtech 19 At the Powtech 2019, Parsum shows how inline dispersion ensures precise measurements in a large variety of processes. Particle measurement without dispersion does not work. Therefore, lab technology comes with a broad range of accessory in order to separate powder, grains and granules as a requirement for measuring most everything, accurately. Even sieving, the classic way of analyzing, is not possible without mechanical dispersion. When continuously measuring particles inside a process without sampling and laboratory, inline dispersion is an exception. On the Powtech 2019, Parsum will present a wide range of dispersion equipment for their inline probes – the IPP-series. These small accessories, mounted directly on the probes are being operated with compressed air and dilute and separate various particle streams with different properties. There are dispersers with low shearing forces ensuring a sensitive treatment of the granules, while particles…

Continuous process in high quality: Inline particle measurement allows differentiated process control in the granulation
Continuous process in high quality:
Inline particle measurement allows differentiated process control in the granulation To achieve a high quality production results, Permanent measurements and checks during the process are indispensable. Since sampling and evaluations are very aufwndig laboratory and provide only delayed opening information is precisely in these production areas inline measurement, with can be checked at any time and possibly affect the processes, particularly important. The IPC Process Center GmbH & Co. KG, a company of the Glatt Group, the innovative granules and pellets for producing the pharmaceutical and food industry, uses therefore for permanent monitoring of their sensitive processes inline particle probes of Parsum GmbH. With the accuracy of the probes IPP 70-S and IPP 70-Se the Korngrenverteilung the intermediate and end products is constantly under control, so that the processes can, accurately controlled. The optimal Prozessfhrung significant financial savings are possible. The installation of two inline-probes fr gives us the advantage that the production…

New development by Parsum GmbH on the occasion of ACHEMA 2009 Long particle probe for large
New development by Parsum GmbH on the occasion of ACHEMA 2009
Long particle probe for large At the ACHEMA trade show, Parsum will put on display the new IPP 70-SL in-line particle probe designed for reliable measurement of particles in large process vessels with a length of up to four (4) meters. Just like the smaller IPP 70-S standard models, the IPP 70-SL provides the complete particle size distribution within a range from 50 µm through 6,000 µm in real time. In large mixers, granulators or fluidized bed systems, measurements can be made in various representative spots. For very deep process vessels, this means the measurement does not have to be made near the surface or wall any more. The design principle of the probe facilitates its design in various lengths, tailored to the intended application. The range of length is from 40 cm to approximately 4 m. The probe electronics are accommodated inside the tube and may be additionally cooled with compressed air as and if required. The same accessories as for the standard probes of the IPP 70 series (viz.…

Inline Particle Measurement in explosive Environments
Inline Particle Measurement in explosive Environments
At Powtech 2007 Parsum shows first time its new In-line Particle Probe IPP 70-Se for use in potentially explosive environments. Within ATEX this probe is classified as an intrinsically safe instrument suitable for use in zones 0, 1 and 2, 20, 21 and 22. The IPP 70-Se is an optical rod probe with no moving elements and the same mechanical dimensions like the standard version. A special 100 m cable allows installing the electronics and measurement PC outside ATEX classified areas. The probe measures particle size by detecting interruptions of a laser beam caused by material passing through it. It is insensitive to vibration and slight impacts. Once installed, usually in pipelines, falling zones, vessels or directly in fluidized beds, it requires no manual adjustment. An integral pressurized air feed ensures that the optical sapphire windows are protected from product build-up – a particularly important feature for potentially fouling applications. It is suitable for…
