The second generation of a dustiness measurement device The handling of powders and bulk materials for transport, transfer or processing often involves clouds of dust. This may result in disadvantages (e.g. increased health risks, operational safety) and dangers (e.g. dust explosion). For these reasons, it is important to know the dustiness of such materials. The fully automated Palas dustiness measurement device DustView II enables a fast and exact measurement of even smallest propensities of a powder to form airborne dust. The material is released from a small container, free falls a defined distance and impacts on the bottom of the device. The first generation of this measurement device has been used for the last 15 years and has now been modernized thoroughly. Now, measurements can be carried out fully automatically within 40 seconds, displayed and compared on a big, colored touch screen. with digital single signal processing and coincidence correction The welas® digital is a flexible, powerful and economical light-scattering spectrometer system, which determines the particle concentration and the particle size precisely and reliably. Using fibre-optic cables, welas® sensors – equipped with measurement volumes of varying sizes – can be easily attached to the welas® digital 2000 and 3000 and exchanged at will. Quality is measurable With the modular particle measuring device welas®, we offer an intelligent measuring system which is adjustable according to the individual requirements of the customer.
