Several years after installation, Polem’s starch silos were trouble-free and rated as one of the cleanest starch silos ever inspected. A few years ago Polem supplied a starch silo to a cardboard factory in the United Kingdom. This starch is used to make the glue to bond the layers of cardboard. This silo was recently inspected and the inspector’s response was as follows: “Since the installation, no problems have been identified at this silo. Polem has introduced the Tank Configurator to complement the Silo Configurator. A handy tool to quickly get a quote for your silo (solids) or tank (liquids). Polem previously launched the silo configurator: a handy tool with which you can quickly request and receive a budget quotation for your silo. Now there is also a configurator for tanks, for liquids. In addition to silos, Polem has been supplying tanks for the storage of liquid products, fats, chemicals and sauces for years. These products can be stored very well in a composite tank. Recently Polem delivered two 35m3 tanks for the storage of seawater. Crusta is a company in the Dutch village Urk. The company is specialized in live shellfish, such as King Crabs, Canadian Lobsters, North Sea crab and Oysters. To keep the animals in optimal conditions, Crusta created the perfect environment: The Crusta Ocean. This is a modern salt water auto-refreshing system with a capacity of 500.000 litres, which closely recreates the natural living conditions of the shellfish. That’s were Polem was able to help Crusta: Polem supplied them two isolated 35m3 tanks, with a diameter of 2,80 m. to store fresh seawater. This helps Crusta to keep the basins in perfect condition. The salt seawater will not harm the storagetank, because composite is not sensitive to corrosion. After installation of the tanks, the customer replied to us: "The tanks are beautifull and with compliments to the truck driver for his carefull delivery."

Through our dealer Blumer & Lehmann, Polem supplied 3 composite brine storage tanks and a salt dissolver for ice control in the city of Vienna. Dealing with slipperiness on the road is a matter of acting quickly at the right time. To be able to do this, 3 composite brine storage tanks and a salt dissolver for ice control were installed in Vienna. The smaller tank is the salt dissolver that ensures the correct concentration of brine water. The brine water is stored in the three tanks of 2400 mm diamter each and with a capacity of 45 m3 per tank. This way they can start immediately when the roads need it. The beautiful color orange is at costumers request. We think it is a good choice. This Austrian winter service works with large wooden silos for the storage of road salt. Wooden silos are mainly used when really large silos are needed (600 m3) In recent years, Polem has also supplied many silos for salt storage for winter services. Polem and Siloba installed composite storage silos in Bree, Belgium The 6 Polem silos are placed outside the building and are used for the storage of flour. A large 37-tonne silo for white flour and 5 smaller 7-tonne silos for different types of flour. All silos are fully equipped with filter, explosion panel, silo weighing and bin activator. The flour is transported via a spiral transport to the weighing bunker in the bakery. Dosing and automation Christophe from Siloba: "In a separate area of ​​the warehouse, a mini dosing station is placed with 12 small silos in stainless steel, where the different flour mixes are dosed into a separate weighing bunker via pneumatic transport. Both weighing bunkers then bring the flour together in a mobile kneading tub. During the adding of the flour, water, liquid yeast and salt are dosed directly into the same kneading tub via the recipe computer.
