VAS SafetyFlow training on mobile phone
VAS SafetyFlow training on mobile phone

For more safety in industrial facilities

VAS SafetyFlow, the latest development from Axians IAS, promises greater safety and a standardized, digital training process across all plants.
In bulk material plants and industrial facilities where heavy equipment and hazardous materials are handled, strict safety regulations apply to prevent accidents and personal injury. Operators must ensure that external parties such as truck drivers, service providers, or visitors are appropriately trained before entering the plant.
With “VAS SafetyFlow,” Axians Industrial Applications & Services GmbH now presents its answer to the question of how training processes can be carried out efficiently and digitally.

Increased safety through mandatory training and controlled access
VAS SafetyFlow is a central, web-based software platform that allows the entire training process to be mapped, controlled, and documented entirely digitally, from the creation of plant- and user group-specific safety trainings to the management of users and training certificates. The multimedia and multilingual trainings can be completed independently of location and device via any browser:
After an introduction to the applicable safety rules and the successful completion of a questionnaire, a personalized digital training certificate, the SafetyQR, is automatically issued to the user. This certificate can be used as a prerequisite for access when checking into the plant at access control systems such as the VAS self-service terminal.

Audit security thanks to seamless documentation

All user and training data, such as training courses that have already been completed, issued certificates and their status (current/expired/cancelled), are seamlessly documented and can be referred to during audits as proof of proper safety training and to ensure that internal standards are met.

Usable as fully integrated or independent system

As an industry- and hardware-independent solution from the VAS Eco-System, SafetyFlow can be used both as a stand-alone system and fully integrated: A seamless integration with VAS Yard Management and existing processes such as VAS Driver Self-Service Check-In is possible, as is a connection to existing access control systems.
SafetyFlow will be showcased live for the first time from March 24 to 26 at LogiMAT in Stuttgart, at the Actemium booth (booth 7C36 in hall 7), and from May 4 to 7 at IFAT in Munich, at the Axians booth (hall A6, booth 139).

Axians successfully deploys VAS Yard Management at 1,000th plant
Axians IAS reached a significant milestone in its company history: its VAS Yard Management solution went live at all Heidelberg Materials France cement plants. The milestone is marked by the 1,000th VAS site in Paris-Bruneseau. With this rollout, the application for digitizing and optimizing loading and logistics processes in the bulk materials industry is now deployed in over 1,000 plants worldwide. This milestone marks the impressive growth of the ICT and logistics solutions specialist over the past decade – back in 2015, the number of installations stood at 180. The VAS Yard Management solution went live by early 2025 at 14 Heidelberg Materials cement plants in France, including nine production plants and five terminals (depots). Among them is the company’s 1,000th plant in Bruneseau, Paris, where the solution manages the fully automated loading of trucks with cement. No on-site personnel are required for the processes, as drivers can handle all steps independently. During the initial week after the go-live, the 14 plants processed over 3,000 delivery notes with trucks and full trains. Jean-Luc Degrange, Project Manager at Heidelberg Materials France, expressed his satisfaction with
