A. Ebbecke Verfahrenstechnik AG is expanding its portfolio to include the special area of spray drying. For this purpose, a building at the Hirzenhain site was acquired as a completely new production site.
It is a 6-storey building ideal for this application with a total usable area of 8,500 m². The delivery ramps connected to the building for loading and unloading trucks also ensure that larger storage and production quantities can be processed. A “spray drying” competence center is to be set up at the site in cooperation with the surrounding universities. In the final stage, the competence center will consist of a total of 7 spray dryers, a pilot plant with * 3 pilot plant spray dryers as well as a quality laboratory and training rooms.
Due to the close cooperation with the universities, the opportunity should also be created here to hold training courses and seminars on this topic. All spray dryers are created according to a hygiene concept, including special hygienic HEPA air filters for the process air that is drawn in, indirect heating to avoid possible contamination from flue gases and completely separate individual systems.
This provides a high degree of flexibility in order to be able to represent different hygiene standards.
In consultation with our customers, the systems will be set up gradually in the current financial year and in 2022. In addition to the topic of spray drying, various special processes and existing systems that have already been developed by A. Ebbecke Verfahrenstechnik AG are located there in order to expand the range of offers in this special system area for our customers. For existing customers, the new location also offers additional logistics space in order to be able to optimally store large campaigns or raw material quantities in particular.
- Spray dryer pilot plant
A. Ebbecke Verfahrenstechnik AG has one of the most unique miniature laboratory spray dryers made of glass here in Germany. With a maximum spray rate of up to 2000ml / h and its compact design, it can be set up independently in the laboratory and put into operation immediately. This new type of spray dryer can be adjusted like no other laboratory spray dryer. Parameters such as spray rate, temperature and degree of drying guarantee particularly efficient drying.
