New fire alarm system at the Schöneck plant

As part of a new outsourcing project involving the construction of a melting tank, Ebbecke installed a fire alarm system to ensure maximum safety for the company.
A.Ebbecke Verfahrenstechnik AG followed the recommendations of the authorities at its plant in Schöneck and installed a fire alarm system with connection to the fire control center of the Main-Kinzig district. This was combined with a sprinkler system to cover the storage areas for fire-promoting raw materials and finished goods in order to ensure maximum safety for the company.

We opted for the Bosch brand for the fire alarm system, as this manufacturer has a high level of expertise in the field of industrial fire alarm systems throughout Germany. The in-house sprinkler system is connected to our large extinguishing water cisterns, which are fed with rainwater via the roof drainage system. In this way, sustainability and environmental considerations have also been taken into account at our plant in Schöneck, as we do not have to access fresh drinking water via the mains, but instead refill the cisterns again and again naturally using rainwater.

The fire protection experts commissioned by us also checked the fire protection of the entire plant again and brought it up to a highest technical standard.

A. Ebbecke Verfahrenstechnik AG
A. Ebbecke Verfahrenstechnik: Sustainable and Innovative Experience, Know-how and Innovations are the basis for modern proces engineering The increasingly flexible requirements, combined with the continuously decreasing market cycle terms, demand for highly flexible and reactive processes for making specific products for our clientele. In order to support our customers in this dynamic market we provide the possibility to outsource, thus variabilizing costs and creating short term capacities and sample lot availability. Investment decisions and planning cycles often require huge amounts of time, hence extending the time-to-market, not allowing for an in-time market introduction. A. Ebbecke Verfahrenstechnik AG will gladly support you in this matter. With our diverse capacities and specific expertise concerning the economic and technical framework, we offer the high flexibility and swift availability our customers are accustomed to. Through cost variabilization, the cost foundation is clear. Meaning: hidden costs, subsequent cost increases or unavailable capacities are risk factors that can be ruled out in advance. By providing the full supply-chain, we offer a comprehensive service allowing short-term market introduction of new products. A. Ebbecke Verfahrenstechnik AG is specialized in developing and accompanying scale-up processes with its customers, leading to investments by A. Ebbecke Verfahrenstechnik AG within a manageable timeframe of 6 – 12 months. Our main objective in doing so is agreeing on long-term contracts with our customers. Investments made are then usually returned over the contract term. The investment risk is split between the parties using an investment formula. Merely 50 % of the overall investment are added to the product cost. The remaining 50% are covered by A. Ebbecke Verfahrenstechnik AG. In exchange the machinery remains the company’s property. This allows a clear cost allocation for maintenance, repairs and replacement, therefore all additional or hidden costs are minimized or fully eliminated.

New filling line for products with difficult flow properties
Products with difficult flow properties are a major challenge for our employees. The focus here is on safe handling and efficient processing. In order to guarantee both in equal measure, we now have a new filling line in which the goods delivered in big bags, cardboard boxes, drums, containers or sacks can be fed to the filling line as a screw packer, free-fall packer or turbine packer by means of a 5 cubic metre bunker with a clearing device. The upstream bunker ensures continuous feeding in the enclosed system area. All parts in contact with the product are made of stainless steel. Rotating scissor lifts with suction lifters offer maximum ergonomics for our operators. The filling line can produce in 3-shift operation.

Ebbecke Verfahrenstechnik AG participates in nationwide water protection study by Südwestrundfunk (SWR) and ARD In cooperation between SWR and ARD, people and companies throughout Germany were asked to follow, observe and analyse streams and smaller rivers in their surroundings over the course of a whole year. The company A. Ebbecke Verfahrenstechnik AG is particularly aware of its responsibility towards nature. Our plant in Schöneck is surrounded by nature, so we have adopted the nearest body of water and taken part in this study. In addition to regular observation and photographic documentation of the aquatic plants and animals living there, it also includes analysing the water quality. By documenting images and questionnaires, experts can carry out central analyses and assess the condition of local water bodies in Germany. In particular, the aim is to analyse the extent to which pesticides used for agricultural purposes lead to increased levels in water bodies. Up to 70 % of all water run-off in Germany is channelled through small streams and small rivers. So far, however,
