With 40 years of experience, T&B electronic GmbH offers preventive fire protection for machines and systems – and is certified as a VdS specialist installer.

The strength of the medium-sized company: the creation of comprehensive, specific protection concepts for various processing operations. This way, fire protection is suitable to individual requirements – and comes from a single source, from installation to commissioning.

As a VdS-approved installer for spark extinguishing systems and water spray extinguishing systems, T&B electronic also offers infrared cameras and gas extinguishing systems, especially with argon, as well as fire alarm systems according to DIN 14675.

The company today has representations on four continents.
Through continuous further development of the product range, the fire protection specialist continue to set new standards with quality and innovation in preventive plant fire protection.

Early fire detection with IR system – double certified
Due to the immense increase in fire damage in industry, insurers are increasing their requirements: they demand certified fire protection for production facilities. Companies can often only obtain fire insurance for their production if they install certified fire protection solutions. Fire protection with a seal of approval is therefore not a luxury, but often makes the difference between survival and insolvency. As with all insurance policies, the same applies here: Maximum possible prevention is a prerequisite for a high damage class. This is because maximising prevention also makes claims less likely. Fortunately, this coincides with the goal of every company to keep operations running without interruption. This means that people are not put in danger by fire or explosion, material assets are pre-served and the environment is not unnecessarily polluted. With its new system for the early detection of potential fire risks based on an infrared camera, T&B electronic GmbH from Alfeld in Lower Saxony remains true to its principle of always realising the safest fire prevention. The system fulfils today’s enormously increased

The best protection against smouldering fire in belt dryers Presented at LIGNA 2023: The only VdS-certified protection concept for belt dryers comes from T&B electronic.
The best protection against smouldering fire in belt dryers
Presented at LIGNA 2023: The only VdS-certified protection concept for belt dryers comes from T&B electronic. Developed with the VdS, this fire protection solution sets new standards for comprehensive insurance protection in belt dryers. The patented innovative fire protection solution detects and extinguishes sparks and embers at top speed. Thanks to the VdS certification of the protection concept, there is now a uniform standard that every property insurer accepts. Drying process harbours high hazard potential Due to the process, belt dryers are at high risk. Each of the following risk factors is a major fire hazard in itself. In combination, however, they exacerbate them or even ”fuel” each other. # High drying temperatures: up to over 120 °C. # High material residence times: over 30 minutes. # Low residual moisture: up to 3 % possible, depending on the material. # Sparks or embers can be introduced from upstream and downstream processes. # High dust loads: smouldering fires can occur in the deposits. Due to the high fire loads, undetected smouldering fires

Act in good time before a battery goes through thermal runaway
T&B presents a smart system for the early detection of fire hazards caused by lithium-ion batteries in small warehouses. This enables operators to take measures for safety and damage limitation at an early stage. The handling and storage of lithium-ion batteries or accumulators is increasingly an issue for recycling companies and for manufacturers who are obliged to take back accumulators. Gases and aerosols can escape from pre-damaged accumulators - signs of an impending thermal runaway of the accumulators. More than a conventional CO detector The Fire Gas and Smoke Detection System (FGSDS) detects both smoke and a wide variety of fire gases long before the thermal runaway. The system is based on a special gas detector that detects different fire gases at an early stage. In combination with smoke detection, the FGSDS provides comprehensive early detection. Freely adjustable threshold values allow the system to be adapted to the operator’s individual safety requirements. Thanks to the smart combination of detectors and air intake, only one detector is needed to monitor the entire interior of a small warehouse. This also simplifies installation and use: the system can

Certified detectors for fire prevention at SOLIDS For the detection of sparks and embers as well as for the prevention of fire spreading, T&B electronic presents the detectors suitable for these risks.
Certified detectors for fire prevention at SOLIDS
For the detection of sparks and embers as well as for the prevention of fire spreading, T&B electronic presents the detectors suitable for these risks. In order to prevent fires and explosions in filters, conveyors, silos, coolers, mills, pellet mills or dryers comprehensively and reliably, individually customized solutions are required. Each of the fire risks in the different plant areas can only be controlled with the most suitable detector. FSM multichannel detector For plant areas in which both sparks and embers can form, T&B electronic GmbH is presenting its FSM multichannel detector at the trade fair in Dortmund. This detector, certified by VdS Schadenverhütung GmbH, detects both sparks and embers. Previously, a specific detector was required for each. If this combination detector is used in areas where sparks and embers are present, the cost of installation and maintenance is reduced - with the same functionality and safety. Hot particles Plant operators can invest this saving in fire protection for downstream processes into which hot particles can be introduced. The FST-lt hot particle detector from

VdS-certified fire protection concept for belt dryers
For the first time, T&B is preparing a certified protection concept in cooperation with VdS The drying of materials is often the prerequisite for their further processing. The drying process, i.e. the thermal removal of water and other liquids, makes the dried goods durable, mixable, grindable or otherwise usable for further process steps. Drying processes have been industrial standard for many decades already. The first belt dryer in Europe, for example, went into operation as long ago as 1907. These days, belt dryers are used in a wide range of different branches. Examples include belt dryers for timber, pharmaceuticals, food, plastics, wastewater sludge and many other organic substances. All these substances have one thing in common: they are combustible and, in combination with a belt dryer, result in a high fire load. The importance of belt dryers in industrial applications has increased significantly over the past few years. Generally, standard series belt dryers have a modular design. They are made up of a product feeding module, a drying module
