What has the handling of powders and particulate materials got to do with Net Zero?
The course will look at bulk materials handling as part of the solution to net zero, discussing trends and opportunities.

Delegates will be invited to share their current methods in use and discuss how the industry can become more aware and active in reducing carbon emissions, using techniques and processes already in operation around the industry.

The process of handling bulk solids generates carbon emissions but it is also a fundamental ENABLING TECHNOLOGY in processes that can reduce carbon emissions through Energy from renewable biomass; Energy from waste; and Recycling and “green” chemical feedstocks.

This course aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the challenges and solutions in storing and handling bulk powders used in EV battery manufacturing, and to explore best practice and industry standards for safe and efficient material handling.
The course will also involve the role of material properties in storage and handling, and their impact on product quality and process efficiency.
Case studies will be used throughout to illustrate the presentations, with plenty of discussion periods so that specific problems experienced by attendees can be analysed.
